Hole #1 – Par 4

Hole #1 – Par 4 – 428-333 yards :
A very challenging opening hole. A long dogleg left protected well by a large fairway bunker down the left side. A lateral water hazard also guards the left side and cuts between the two fairways about 100 yards from the green. The approach shot, usually with a mid-iron, must be accurate as the green is protected well with a bunker both left front and long.

Hole #2 – Par 5

Hole #2 – Par 5 – 588-501 yards :
A long par 5 with out of bounds along the entire hole on both the left and right side. The tee shot is protected by two fairway bunkers on the right side. The approach shot should be played from the left side of the fairway as the front right of the green is protected by a large bunker. There is also a bunker left of the green.

Hole #3 – Par 4

Hole #3 – Par 4 – 396-313 yards :
A tee shot in play is the key. Out of bounds right and water on the left makes this short hole very challenging. Think twice about hitting driver here. The putting surface is also very challenging as there are several dramatic slopes.

Hole #4 – Par 4

Hole #4 – Par 4 – 416-320 yards :
Another accurate tee shot is needed here as out of bounds runs down the entire length of the hole on the right side and a lateral water hazard will penalize a tee shot left. Driver off the tee may not be the choice here as well. The large putting green slopes drastically from back to front.

Hole #5 – Par 3

Hole #5 – Par 3 – 178-110 yards :
The putting surface is very narrow and well-protected by several bunkers. Pay close attention to the wind here as the tee shot is usually hit into the prevailing wind.

Hole #6 – Par 4

Hole #6 – Par 4 – 376-268 yards :
The tee shot does not require the use of a driver as it may run through the fairway and into the rough. The fairway ends about 100 yards from the green. The putting green is one of the most difficult to putt on the entire course. The green runs from front right to back left and reading a putt can be quite difficult.

Hole #7 – Par 3

Hole #7 – Par 3 – 183-129 yards :
There is water left and long. The putting surface is the challenge here. There are two severe mounds, both on the left and right side, in the middle portion of the green.

Hole #8 – Par 5

Hole #8 – Par 5 – 507-407 yards :
Get the tee shot in play and a good score can be made here. Our shortest par 5 and usually playing downwind, makes getting home in two quite possible. All effort should be made to keep your approach shot on the same level as the cup. The putting surface is very challenging.

Hole #9 – Par 4

Hole #9 – Par 4 – 370-256 yards :
There is out of bounds both right and left. The tee shot does not require the use of a driver as the hole is fairly short. Play the tee shot to the right side of the fairway to give you the best angle into the green.

Hole #10 – Par 4

Hole #10 – Par 4 – 390-275 yards :
The easiest hole on the course. Keep the tee shot in bounds and a good score can be made here.

Hole #11 – Par 4

Hole #11 – Par 4 – 439-283 yards :
One of the most difficult holes on the entire golf course. There is out of bounds both left and right. A long, accurate tee shot is essential to reaching the green in regulation. Selecting the right club for the approach shot is very difficult as it plays drastically uphill. Any approach shot leaking right is going to present a very difficult challenge to get up and down for par.

Hole #12 – Par 3

Hole #12 – Par 3 – 181-109 yards :
The green slopes severely from back to front. Getting a tee shot on the proper tier is the key to scoring well here. The tee complex is built around the remnants of a mansion built for George Washington’s neice. The mansion’s name was Locust Hill and saw a significant Civil War battle in August of 1864. There were nearly ten Federal soldiers killed in the house and at least 40 soldiers killed on and around the property you stand on today.

Hole #13 – Par 5

Hole #13 – Par 5 – 555-452 yards :
There is out of bounds both left and right on this long, uphill, double dog leg. Two excellent shots here are required to get home in two, to the long narrow green.

Hole #14 – Par 4

Hole #14 – Par 4 – 432-239 yards :
This hole requires two extremely accurate shots. There is out of bounds both left and right. Two fairway bunkers protect both sides of the landing area of the tee shot. The tee shot should be played to the directional flag on top of the hill and will provide you with a flat lie and great look at the green. The driver may be too much. The approach shot plays down hill making club selection difficult.

Hole #15 – Par 4

Hole #15 – Par 4 – 424-236 yards :
The tee shot should be played as long as possible without driving the ball through the fairway. Favoring the right side of the fairway will also help make the approach shot shorter and a little easier. The green is almost entirely surrounded by water. Choosing the right club for the approach shot is essential.

Hole #16 – Par 3

Hole #16 – Par 3 – 173-98 yards :
Your tee shot is all carry over water, so pay close attention to the wind and choose your club wisely.

Hole #17 – Par 5

Hole #17 – Par 5 – 514-414 yards :
A very tricky tee shot here, the smart play should be to the directional flag. Just past the directional flag, and running nearly the entire right side of the hole, is a pond not visible to the player from the tee. Judge the distance correctly and choose the proper club off the tee.

Hole #18 – Par 4

Hole #18 – Par 4 – 455-369 yards :
This could be one of the finest closing holes in the four state area. A long and accurate tee shot is crucial. Two fairway bunkers on the right side protect the landing area off the tee. The approach shot is a forced carry over a pond into a large, well bunkered, undulated green.
